TORCH — Built with Modern Convenience for a Truly Traditional Sauna Experience
Spending our summers back and forth between the wood-fired sauna and the lake — and our winters looking forward to that evening electric sauna, we knew firsthand what matters in a sauna heater. We wanted to find the balance between traditional heat and modern convenience, so we set out to build a gas-powered heater that could outperform the ones we grew up with.
We knew that we wanted gas: it’s more affordable than electric, more mobile-friendly, and far easier than chopping wood, lighting a fire, and keeping it stoked. But there was something else we needed — something neither wood nor electric could quite handle: hours and hours of continuous steam while we sauna and swim. Just as one group would head out, another would come in. The heat had to keep up.
We loved the deep, steady warmth and rich steam of a wood-fired sauna. We appreciated the convenience of electric — turn a knob, less than an hour to temperature, no constant tending. So we asked ourselves: why can’t a gas heater deliver both?
So we built one that does.
Today, the Torch Heater is available in propane or natural gas. It heats quickly, produces exceptional löyly — even during extended, heavy use — and is simple to operate. No electricity required, making it perfect for lake properties, off-grid setups, and mobile saunas.
And as a bonus? It looks as good as it performs.

Customer Review
Well done!
I had given up on finding an effective commercially produced natural gas sauna heater. I had designed my own and was planning to have it built when my eldest son surprised me and our entire family with the Torch TS-60 for a Christmas gift. This heater was enthusiastically installed the next day. I may have been whistling while I discarded my prior stove which was a poorly designed natural gas heater that never worked properly and was backed by non-existent service. We have now used your heater for over 7 months. Our heater is used about 1 to 3 hours per day. Our sauna heats up to the temperature we enjoy (hot) in about 30 to 40 minutes. We can go in a bit early and use steam to increase the temperature more quickly if needed. The heater does not need recovery time between 5 consecutive sauna’s when our family comes over for sauna night, it is impressive.
Congratulations and thank you for building an excellent natural gas sauna heater that I would recommend to anyone.

Natural Gas Sauna Heaters Cost Significantly Less to Operate Than Electric
Natural gas sauna heaters cost substantially less to operate than electric models. With just one hour of daily use, an 8kW electric heater can add up to thousands of dollars more in operating expenses over five to ten years. A comparable 60,000 BTU natural gas heater delivers the same powerful heat and consistent performance at a fraction of the cost. Propane also provides measurable savings over electric, while maintaining the flexibility needed for mobile and off-grid installations. Energy rates vary by location, but the long-term financial advantage of gas is clear. The chart below outlines the projected costs and cumulative savings in detail.
